Thanks to HAYDK for the update on this season’s parking and shuttle information for the Garden Trailhead into the High Peaks. This is one of the busiest and most popular trailheads in the Adirondacks. The lot is filled most of the summer so hikers should prepare for using the shuttle for access.
Commencing Friday May 19th , the parking fee $5.00 US ($6.00 CAN) per day will be assessed for parking at the Garden Lot.
This daily fee will continue through the month of October.
An attendant will be at the Garden Lot from 1:00pm until 7:00pm on Fridays and from 7:00am until 7:00pm on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays during this period.
The shuttle will operate from the Southwest corner of Marcy Field , off Route 73 , when the Garden Parking is full , beginning for Holiday Weekends in May, from 7:00am to 7:00 pm as follows:
Victoria Day Weekend May 20th, 21st & 22nd
Memorial Day Weekend May 27th, 28th & 29th
********* THERE WILL BE NO SHUTTLE OPERATION IN JUNE ***
Operation will resume on Saturday July 1st , operating on Saturdays , Sundays & Holidays.
October 22nd will be the last day of operation.
The Shuttle will NORMALLY leave Marcy Field parking lot every 1/2 hour and on the hour.
The Shuttle fee remains $3.00 US ( $4.00 CAN ) per person for a round trip.

Hi,
The parking lot fee is only effective from May 19th through October of this year, and then becomes effective May 19th of next year again? Please let me know.
