If you would have told me last year that as President and CEO of the American Bus Association, I would be writing a blog, I would have stared at you blankly and thought you were a bit mad. But here I am writing my very first blog on behalf of ABA.
Wow, this is very cool, in a geeky, tourism marketing, Web 2.0 kinda way.
Being a card carrying member of the ABA, I’ve always considered that organization to be part of the ‘old guard’ when it comes to tourism marketing. Probably that has to do with the lack of motorcoach infrastructure and traffic in our region, but also because I see that type of travel to be a declining market.
One thing the ABA is good at is staying on top of industry issues that affect the motorcoach business. A blog is the perfect vehicle to conduct that function. Thanks Pete for taking the lead and welcome to the blogosphere.
