While trolling some web stats over lunch, I found this: Melissa and David :: The Wedding(Sorry, deadlink, but here’s a nice book)

Wow, the internet continues to amaze me! This website was prepared as an online planning guide for the wedding guests of Melissa and David, but I think it is much more than that. Think about it. These guys want their friends and family to come. They want to welcome them, make their trip easy, entertain them, house them , feed them, etc. Sound familiar?

Place becomes Thing

Blogged from Arkansas – “Stay outside in your Adirondacks”. I can dig the attitude and suggestions, but this is the first time I’ve heard Adirondacks used this way. Could the word Adirondack be entering the popular lexicon?

“I’m going to go sit on the porch and Adirondack.”

“The weekend was simply Adirondack.”

“Dude! That’s so Adirondack!”

“Everyone had a great time Adirondacking in the hot tub.”

Barnes Pond – Rambling Around the Sable Highlands

Back in February, I mentioned the land deal that formed the newest Adirondack recreation area, the Sable Highlands Working Forest. This was exciting since I consider the area involved my backyard. Most people are familiar with Lyon Mountain and adding this great hike to the list of “Forever Wild” is just fantastic. What intrigued me the most was the opening up of other new areas for recreational use.
