buck pond. what can you guys tell me about the fishing here???????? i am making plans for the summer camping trip , i prefer sites that arent on top of one another also love to fish out of my kayak, so being sheltered from the wind is good. another big factor is it a pond that holds fish to keep a 9 year old entertained???? they dont have to be huge but the ability to keep a child entertained is a big help.

Well, without being judgmental, I wouldn't stay at Hearthstone either. I guess "Family Campground" is pretty subjective. Contrast with Brown Tract. To be honest, I've not spent a single night at any of these campgrounds. I guess I should do a roundup of the REAL jewels of the Adirondack campgrounds. My personal Top-3: Taylor Pond, Meacham Lake, and Ausable Point.

Heartstone? That is a joke. It may be popular because it is so close to Lake George Village, but no respectable camper would spend the night there amid the generators, RV dump stations, and large and loud parties.

I love this line “Shoppers will enjoy the outlet malls, and everyone can enjoy the restaurants, theme parks, theatres, and historic sites.”
