Gone on TV and said: "Our enemies are small in number and weak in materiel. They can never defeat us. We will hunt them to the ends of the Earth. There will be more attacks like this, but they can never win. Life comes with no guarantee you'll live to be old. You can get killed crossing the road. So savour each moment, live in peace, and know that we will defeat our enemies in good time." Instead I think this event has been used to completely change US society. As the old latin saying goes "Qui bonum?": To whose good? Y’know what President Bush should’ve done?

It was obviously surreal and awful to watch those towers come down, and further , to see the city shut down completely. I'm glad we keep up the memorials each year.
