That was an interesting thing you guys made there. But what was the purpose? What was its meaning? Was it just for fun?

Hey, if I had known about it, I would've gone -- as long as the ice supported me.

Hippies? Like, man, was it an "Ice-In?"

You got some good shots, especially of an unusual event. Let's face it: for many people in the North Country "installation" only refers to getting set up with cable or satellite TV. [grin]

Yeah, my shots. I didn't really feel like going, but I suppose it was worth documenting this very unusual thing.

The water is only a few feet deep there and we had to cross some open melt at the shore... in the dark. The event had to be canceled due to wind the previous weekend. The week before that, Berry asked to borrow my drill "to drill holes in the ice". I'm like, "huh" "why"?

I'm sure the "installation" was cleaned up, maybe a few burnt wicks remained. Probably emitted some Greenhouse Gases. Likely, the firing of all those tiles was the most impactful part of the project.

If it makes you feel any better, almost all the participants were hippyish folks.
