Alright, so I use Text-Link-Ads too – Big Deal. I “sell” Google links contextually too.
Maybe it’s an across the board cut because of an algorithm change – Page Rank Inflation? I guess if everyone goes down, then it doesn’t really matter. I haven’t noticed any changes in SERPS, but almost all of the sites that I track seem to have dropped. Now, I can’t point to anything specific since this is based purely my recollection of their rank. I’ll bet some freakish SEO, like that Fishkin dude, has all the numbers stashed somewhere. I dropped from 5 to 4, but it’s not like I’ve been really doing anything here. Bigger sites with higher PR’s have dropped two even 4 places. So, I guess I’m not really that broken up.
My Page Rank dropped, too. I was a 4, now I’m a 2. I don’t know why. I did just start payperpost, but it isn’t all that bad. Sheesh. Maybe Google is having a bad case of power lust and has decided to pull the strings on everyone…
Well, the other related news, Statcounter added the “nofollow” tag to their paid links and is now back at 10.
I wonder what would happen if I added a link to Google themselves?
