I love this mountain; first Adirondack mountain I climbed when I move here.
Plus, the history of the villages that surround this peak is hugely interesting for me. One of my best friends now lives at the location of the former homestead of Nathaniel Lyon.

That’s one of the few towers I have left, can’t wait to try the new trail. Glad to see the tower is climbable!

There was a section along the new trail yesterday about 2/3rds of the way up that was full of those Painted Trilliums.
The tower is in good shape and the views are awesome. Well, except for the wind towers in Altona. I’m going to post a couple of follow-up pano shots.
