Blogged from Arkansas – “Stay outside in your Adirondacks”. I can dig the attitude and suggestions, but this is the first time I’ve heard Adirondacks used this way. Could the word Adirondack be entering the popular lexicon?
“I’m going to go sit on the porch and Adirondack.”
“The weekend was simply Adirondack.”
“Dude! That’s so Adirondack!”
“Everyone had a great time Adirondacking in the hot tub.”

Back in February, I mentioned the land deal that formed the newest Adirondack recreation area, the Sable Highlands Working Forest. This was exciting since I consider the area involved my backyard. Most people are familiar with Lyon Mountain and adding this great hike to the list of “Forever Wild” is just fantastic. What intrigued me the most was the opening up of other new areas for recreational use.

Here’a nice round-up of the top-five competitors during the recent Champlain FLW Tour. I’m no fisherman, but I can appreciate the prepariation and skill required to do this activity. Also, it turns out fisherman at this level are serious gearheads too.
