Google Maps Mania, my favorite site for tracking the latest mashups, mentions the Adirondack Regional Tourism Council’s latest website feature. The ADK Birding Guide features birdwatching locations throughout the 8 counties which make up the Adirondack Region. Most of the locations were selected because: 1) a known track-record of birding, 2) unique or protected habitat, 3) unique or protected species. Most are relatively easy to find and best of all, most are also free-of-charge.
Along with the my Birding Lens, all birder’s amateur or expert, should find a wealth of feathered friends to add to your Adirondack vacation experience.
I hate to brag, but hey, I did a lot of the work, so why not? The Adirondack Regional Tourism Council’s website is now featuring the most complete collection of bird watching sites for the Adirondack Vacation Region. Best of all, this is using the Google Maps API to display things. We’ve got bird watching events happening all over for the next week or so and our press release seems to be catching hold.
