Is KML really the one for me? Who knows? I’ll let all those fancy organizations and their “stakeholders” sort it out. Google has released KML to the wild. I’ve got a new crush.

There’s no room in my life for two formats, I’m going to have to have a talk with GPX. It’s just not working out for me anymore and I have to move on. I’ll probably wimp out and do this by email.

There’s almost no reason for a DMO, or any organization related to a location, of any size or means not to have robust mapping capabilities. Or any location-based organization. It’s so easy!

Open-sourcing almost guarantees that there will be choices OTG (Other than Google) in mapping services and products. Any previous reluctance in adopting KML for mission-critical applications should now be gone – time to start mapping!
