I was so distracted by the sudden reduction in heat yesterday. Tuesday’s dual thunderstorms were pretty epic.
That picture was just before the after-lunch storm looking North from “the center”. There were huge clouds developing and this one was just about to hit us. It was about 90 degrees when I took the photo. 45 minutes later after a period of wind and rain, the temperature dropped to 70. Seems both kids were stuck in the gym due to a tornado warning. Ha ha.
The evening storm was twice as violent with 3x’s the rain. My street was briefly a swiftly flowing river. But almost immediately it was over and we were treated to this big rainbow over Plattsburgh. This pic is for Wendy.

Thanks 🙂 I sure am glad my sister asked me to move to the Adirondacks with her family and my bro’s family. It has let loose a flood of held back emotions. My base camp will be near Cranberry Lake and I soooooooo look forward to camping at all my old stomping grounds!
When I was in high school I wanted to be an interior ranger at West Canada Lakes. Back then women couldn’t go to the ranger school. I applied at SUNY-ESF and U of MT, got accepted to both and took off for MT forestry school. I thought it was pretty cool there were things written by Bob Marshall and a whole wilderness area named after him in MT 🙂
I love rainbows. Thank you.

Totally welcome! And by that, I mean, “Welcome Home!”
