Please fasten your seatbelts and prepare for turbulence. The Captain has left the aircraft and I’m now holding the wheel. There is no communication from the tower…
This is your Co-pilot speaking…

Tourism, Taxes, and Growth in the Heart of the Adirondacks
October 11th, 2007 · Destination Marketing, News
This really is my favorite time of year in the Adirondacks. We’re just past Columbus Day so the bulk of the crowds are gone for the season. Don’t get me wrong, I love tourists! I had the entire Blue Ridge Road to myself with colors which can only be described as sublime. Not another car the whole way until I hit Newcomb.
I’m sure glad I made the drive to attend the event I mentioned in a previous post – Smart Actions for Real Growth. It’s been a too long since I last visited the Adirondack Museum who co-sponsored today’s symposium with Hamilton County Tourism. I always recommend the Museum as a “must-do” Adirondack activity, just go and see for yourselves.

Time for Change
October 10th, 2007 · Miscellania
I’m really digging the new tagging feature that version 2.3 has implemented. It’s not a world-changing paradigm shift or anything, but it is a significant enhancement to the existing method of taxonomy.
What does all that mean? If I had more time, I’d go on forever. Suffice it to say that there is going to be some category housekeeping going on. I really appreciate the thoughtful inclusion of the powerful, but dangerous category to tags converter. How about a tag to category if I screw up?
I need to give this whole thing a think. What do I do with del.icio.us? It would be really cool if any of my tags automatically became del.cio.us tags. Anyway, hope everyone bears with me while I suss things out.
