Google Maps Everywhere

In my usual dorky way, I was tremendously excited by the prospect of embeddable Google Maps.

Well, it’s here.

Very cool, only took 2 seconds, but I see one little problem. It totally hoses the visual editor in WordPress. Had to edit my profile to use “Code” only. I hate not using the WYSIWYG. It would be cool if the “write post” would start with “Code” first. I’m sure this bug will be fixed pretty quick.

Update 8/23: Google’s embed feature was widely featured yesterday. This morning, ALL of Google appears to be having a meltdown.
