Lou Hammond Speaks for New York

February 28th, 2008 · No Comments · Destination Marketing, News

It’s official, we have a new “PR Agency of Record” for our beloved Empire State – Lou Hammond & Associates. Effective immediately (no pun intended).

Selected by a competitive review, the agency will handle all travel press and editorial to ensure that New York State receives positive exposure and excitement as a travel destination, including the re-launch of the “I LOVE New York” campaign. We interviewed a number of agencies but felt Lou Hammond & Associates’ extensive experience, capabilities and understanding made them the right choice for the State’s current needs and challenges.

Headquartered in New York City with offices in Palm Beach and Charleston, Lou Hammond & Associates is an award-winning agency with a two-decade history of hospitality and destination partnerships in the United States and abroad. Lou Hammond herself is a dynamic voice and long-time leader in the tourism industry and we feel the State will benefit greatly from the energy, enthusiasm and expertise that she and her team bring to our efforts.

Web 2.0 creates Tourism 2.0 which creates PR 2.0

I’m all about 2.0, even though it feels pretty lonely here in North Country 0.9. I’ve been accused of being ahead of my time, sort of like Van Gogh. Thanks for the “compliment”. Thanks Steve for the great link to this excellent PR 2.0 document. Link (via Micro Persuasion)
