One of my dreams is to have my own piece of the Adirondacks. My needs are not great, a little waterfront, some trails, maybe a small mountain. I’m not proud, I’ll take anything.
Adirondack Google Maps
June 9th, 2006 · Destination Marketing
Alright, I’ll stop bugging Google about Human Rights. One thing they are kicking butt with is their mapping technology. Remember the ‘old days’ when Mapquest was the big deal? Working in an info center exposes me to my share of interesting people. Some of the most lost are those with print-outs from some ancient online mapping service. But back to the point – Google Maps is awesome and is becoming a ubiquitous part of internet life. If you’ve never heard of a ‘mashup‘, then you should give the concept a good think.

Love in the Adirondacks Rolls on Two Wheels
June 5th, 2006 · News
Call me a romantic, call me a “bike head”, but I like this story about love found on bike in the Adirondacks. Given the low CPM (Cyclists per Mile) in the North Country, of course an organized ride would be the only place this could happen. I’ve ridden for more than 10 years up here and rarely even find someone going in the same direction. This is truly serendipity – Good Luck to the Happy Couple and See You on the Road!!
