Reimagining New York

Ever since I saw the reference to I Am Legend and the post-apocalyptic squirrel on grassy logo, I can’t stop seeing Will Smith dancing around as the Fresh Prince. I love that show.

A fun and relatively productive Governor’s Tourism Shindig was the activity of the day. It’s good to “come down from the hills” and see some city people every now and then. I even got a haircut just for the occasion. I’ll give you my highlights and some bonus pictures after the jump.

Is KML really the one for me? Who knows? I’ll let all those fancy organizations and their “stakeholders” sort it out. Google has released KML to the wild. I’ve got a new crush.

Hey! All hikers, bikers, skiers, and outdoor enthusiasts of all kinds have an awesome feature in Terrain in Google Maps – Contour Lines. Inspired by the Adirondacks!

That means you have topographic information when you select “Terrain” on a Google Map. Going places just got more fun. Check it out.
